Things to Let Go of Right Now

Updated: Jan 18, 2022

Ever wonder what could those things are weighing you down? It's time to let them go so they don't hinder your growth.

Not setting boundaries for yourself

People who get upset when you set boundaries are the people who benefit from you having none. If you don't have this early on in your life, you are more likely to be taken advantage of. Know what you can and can't tolerate. Follow and stick with the boundaries you set, then you'll know right away who truly wants to be in your life and those who have their own agendas.

Worrying about what happened in the past

Remember it's a place of reference, not residence. As cliche as it sounds, we are all humans who at some point made mistakes in our past. Quit looking back at those mistakes and instead use your past to better yourself.

Believing your anxiety

You can do everything but your anxiety says you can't. It's normal to be nervous when you're just starting. Every one of us has taken the first step but only those who have courage and determination make it through.

Overscheduling your life

Being busy doesn't always mean being efficient. Now the work-life balance is everything and can actually get things done faster. Taking a break or pause from too much work can increase our productivity because you were able to recharge your mind and body. Always remember that we all have our limits. If saying "no" is selfish, then so be it.

Creating unnecessary competition

Comparing ourselves to others will only bring us unnecessary stress and pressure. We are all unique and all have our own timing in our love, career, and life. Enjoy the journey and trust the process. There is no competition when you are manifesting in your own lane.

Taking your loved ones for granted

Say "I love you" to them sincerely and often. We gotta admit that saying those three words can sound cheesy at times. Though the more we say this line to our loved ones, the better we feel for ourselves and can even strengthen our relationships with them. Action speaks louder than words, but it feels good to hear it as well.

Anyone and anything that doesn't make you happy

Know when it's time to go. You don't have to stay with someone when all they do is disappoint and hurt you. You don't have to put up with anything that's not worth your time. Life is too short to stay miserable. Do what makes you truly happy. You're strong enough to leave a situation that no longer serves you.

Thinking you're stuck

You're only ever stuck if you stop moving. Don't stay in the same spot as you were before. You have the ability to change your situation whenever you can. Have the courage to keep going. At any given moment you have the power to say: "This is not how my story is going to end."
